🌸 Preamble

Maa Gayatri Seva Sansthan deeply respects the contribution of all its volunteers. You are all vital pillars of our journey of service. This Code of Conduct clarifies the expected behavior, decorum, and responsibilities for volunteers — so that we can all build a positive, safe, and dedicated service family based on the values of service, dedication, and positivity.

🔹 1. Respect and Non-Discriminatory Conduct

Treat every individual with respect, regardless of their caste, religion, gender, age, ability, or social background. Any form of violence, discrimination, or hate speech will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Maintain a non-political, inclusive, and positive environment that reflects the values of our organization.

🔹 2. Respect for Confidentiality and Privacy

Do not share the personal, medical, or financial information of beneficiaries with anyone without their explicit consent. Use any documents, data, or lists provided by the organization solely for the designated service purposes.

🔹 3. Professionalism and Integrity

Maintain punctuality, responsibility, and integrity in your service duties. Do not use the organization’s name for personal gain or political purposes. Immediately inform the relevant coordinator of any potential self-interest or conflict of interest.

🔹 4. Safety and Child Protection

Any form of physical, mental, or verbal abuse towards children and other vulnerable individuals is strictly prohibited. Follow all applicable guidelines related to child protection (POCSO). Volunteers must always maintain professional boundaries.

🔹 5. Substance Abuse and Prohibited Conduct

Consumption of alcohol, tobacco, or narcotic substances is completely prohibited during service hours. The use or possession of illegal substances is strictly forbidden in any of the organization’s programs or premises.

🔹 6. Dress Code and Demeanor

Wear clean, modest, and culturally appropriate attire that aligns with the organization’s decorum during service or community programs. Your overall demeanor should always reflect the values and reputation of the organization.

🔹 7. Communication and Expression

Do not issue any public statements, social media posts, or press releases on behalf of the organization without prior authorization. Use respectful and courteous language in all communication channels (both online and offline) that upholds the positive image of our organization.

🔹 8. Reporting Misconduct

If you experience or witness any unethical or inappropriate behavior, report it confidentially to the organization’s Volunteer Coordinator or Ethics Committee. The organization is committed to handling all reports with confidentiality and impartiality.

🔹 9. Responsible Use of Resources

Use all resources provided by the organization (ID cards, kits, funds, etc.) solely for the designated service purposes. Misuse or unauthorized transfer of any materials or donations is strictly prohibited.

🔹 10. Termination of Volunteer Agreement

If any volunteer seriously violates this Code of Conduct, their volunteer service may be terminated immediately. Legal action may also be initiated if necessary.
